1. Preparation for the season
Friday May 20th 10h-Noon Morning of prayer for the work of the Quiet Garden Trust and the new season.
2. Programmed Days
Saturday May 28th : Leader: The Reverend Charlotte Methuen, Diocesan Training Officer in the Diocese of Europe.
Theme: "Living our Baptism in Christ and Community."
Saturday July 9th: 11am - 3pm (Approx) Amitié Franco-Britanique Music in the Garden with BBQ. Bring your music and participate if you wish to, or simply come and enjoy the event. All welcome.
This is our major fund-raising event of the year.
Thursday September 15th Leader: The Reverend James Barnett
Former head of Religious Studies at Uppingham. From 1995-2001 Archbishop of Canterbury's Representative at the European Institutions. Now represents the
Inter-European Commission on Church and School at the Council of Europe."
Theme: Contemplative prayer, based on the medieval masters.
Arrangements for the day
All days begin at 10am for a 10h30 start unless otherwise indicated. Days include Worship, teaching/ guided meditation, Silence and fellowship.
Light refreshments are provided in the morning and afternoon.
Lunch is usually a 'Bring and Share' event.
Charges
There is a nominal charge of between 5 - 10 euros for programmed days. This is used to cover the cost of refreshments and stationery;
pay for leaders travel expenses where required;
contribute to garden development funds,
including affiliation fees to the Quiet Garden Trust.
Availability of the garden
The garden is available for individual use at any time during the open season. A telephone call beforehand is wise. (05 45 29 08 93)
We do not make a formal charge for bookings of this nature, but donations towards the costs of garden and centre developments are always welcome.
Other Group Bookings
The facilities may be hired by groups wanting to arrange their own programme. For full details of these rates click here
